Happy Pet Parent Appreciation Month!
Open for details about your exclusive treat from Comer Vet

It's that time of year when the trees are green, the birds are chirping, and the weather is warm. This is when we and our pets start venturing out and becoming more active. Those cold winter months are over and it's time to be outside exploring. With this increase in activity comes the potential for injuries and aggravating arthritis in some of our older pets. When this happens, often we jump to medications that can have long-term effects on the the body.
Well, we have an alternative: laser therapy!
Cold laser therapy is a safe, effective alternative or adjunct therapeutic for many inflammatory ailments. Photobiomodulation, also called laser therapy, uses light therapy to revitalize damaged cells to regenerate faster. Check out this graphic that tracks the wound recovery on one of Dr. Quinn’s patients.

So, if you are out and about in this wonderful weather and your pet stumbles or has on injury, give us a call to ask about how laser therapy can help get your pet back to comfort.

Comer Vet After Hours
![]() Several hundred students from Comer Elementary, Colbert Elementary, Ila Elementary, Danielsville Elementary, and Hull-Sanford Elementary strolled through the Madison County Agricultural Center for Fifth Grade Ag Day on April 2. In addition to meeting various livestock species and hearing from a wide range of producers, crop associations, and ag businesses, they saw a live pet exam from Dr. Chamlee and learned some cattle anatomy at the booth shared with Custom Livestock Solutions LLC, our sister clinic. Our previous job shadow student, C.A., even got to help teach for a little while! | ![]() Boots and chaps, cowboy hats, a bucking bull, and hockey pucks: April 3 was RODEO NIGHT at the Athens Rock Lobsters! The Comer Vet crew teamed up with our sister clinic, Custom Livestock Solutions LLC (which sees legit rodeo animals on its patient list!) to pull this one off. We so appreciate all the fans who stopped by and grabbed a commemorative bandana before the game. It was really neat to gaze out around the stands and see all those flashes of red! A huge thanks goes out to vet tech + practice manager Jessica, vet assistant Hollie, vet assistant Cheyenne, and marketing director Dallas for coming out to represent us! |
![]() | What an awesome Saturday supporting our local 4-H members!! Thanks to an incredible showing by our pet parents and community members, Comer Vet was again able to donate to Madison County 4-H through this fundraising event. Several dozen MadiCo pets received their annual booster shots to protect against diseases like rabies! |
Meet the Staff: Kaydence, kennel and vet assistant
![]() | Kaydence is going on her third year working at Comer Vet! She is a proud pet mom to two dogs and a crested gecko. Kaydence truly takes our motto of “Care with Community in Mind” to heart. For her, it’s about taking the time to build relationships with you, our pet parents, beyond a transactional interaction about your pets. She loves listening to y’all share funny stories and updates about your animals, and wants to do everything she can to help you feel seen and empowered about their care. |
