Happy Holidays from Comer Vet!

Join us Dec. 5 for photos with Santa!

As the holiday season approaches, our team at Comer Veterinary Hospital is reminded of how much we have to be grateful for. This time of year encourages reflection, connection, and celebration. We want to take a moment to share our heartfelt thanks with the people (and pets!) who make our work so meaningful.

First and foremost, thank you to our wonderful pet parents. Your trust in us is something we do not take lightly. Whether we’re seeing your pets for routine wellness visits or helping them through more challenging medical needs, we are honored to be part of your family’s care team. Your kindness, patience, and commitment to your pets’ health inspire us daily.

To our furry, feathered, and scaly patients, you bring so much joy to our clinic! Every wagging tail, purr for a Churu, nervous snuggle after surgery, and curious sniff reminds us why we love what we do. Y’all are the heart of our practice, and caring for you is the greatest gift we could ask for.

The holidays also remind us how lucky we are to have such a dedicated, compassionate team. Everyone from our vet techs and assistants to our receptionists and doctors plays a crucial role in keeping pets healthy and comfortable. Their passion and teamwork shine brightest during the busiest times of the year, and we couldn’t be more appreciative.

We invite you to join us for a couple of upcoming events in our community! Scroll down for details about the return of Santa Paws for pet photos, to be held on Friday, Dec. 5. The morning after, head into downtown Comer for the annual Christmas parade and festivities! We are thrilled to join forces with our sister large animal clinic, Custom Livestock Solutions, to participate again this year. Come enjoy floats, music, local vendors, and more to kick off the Christmas season.

As we wrap up another year, our hearts are full. Thank you for choosing Comer Vet to care for your pets and for being part of our extended family. We look forward to celebrating with you and continuing to serve you in the year ahead.

We wish you and your pets a warm, joyful, and healthy holiday season!

Dr. Chamlee and vet assistant Lexi, along with trusty “patients” Dutch and Penny the goat, visited Harbins Elementary for its Career Day event. A future veterinarian even dressed up to meet them!

Dr. Strickland was joined by friends of Comer Vet Jeff Daniel, Anna Leigh Duncam, and Thorn Thurston in November for the annual Putts for Mutts golf tournament. This charity event raised more than $11,700 for the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter!

Congratulations to Piper, winner of the October “Scarecrows in the Cities” photo contest!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our monthly pet photo contests during the past year! Our final photo contest winner will be revealed on Facebook in early December, and will get a shout-out in the December newsletter.

This month on the Comer Vet Blog …

Crowds, loud noises, new smells, strange people, and tight quarters can cause stress for anyone. For cats, that overstimulation affects their ability to be properly diagnosed, which is why earlier this fall, the Comer Veterinary Hospital team decided to offer cat-only appointments.

We appreciate each and every one of our pet parents! Stay in touch on Facebook & Instagram
